Hawliau Iaith: Eiddo Siaradwyr Mamiaith yn Unig?
Dros y deng mlynedd ar hugain diwethaf mae athronwyr gwleidyddol wedi rhoi sylw cynyddol i oblygiadau amrywiaeth ddiwylliannol i’w dealltwriaeth o egwyddorion moesol allweddol, megis rhyddid, cydraddoldeb a democratiaeth. Mae hyn wedi arwain at nifer o drafodaethau diddorol sydd wedi tueddu i gael eu cwmpasu gan benawdau megis ‘amlddiwylliannedd’, ‘gwleidyddiaeth hunaniaeth’ neu ‘wleidyddiaeth cydnabod’. Fel rhan o’r trafodaethau hyn, cyhoeddwyd amryw o astudiaethau sy’n cymryd golwg gyffredinol ar oblygiadau amrywiaeth ddiwylliannol, a datblygwyd nifer o fframweithiau normadol sy’n nodi’n fras pa fath o gamau y gall neu y dylai gwladwriaethau eu cymryd er mwyn ymateb yn deg i alwadau gwahanol grwpiau am gydnabyddiaeth o’u nodweddion unigryw.
