Yn y gorffennol, gwnaeth y Gymdeithas gyfraniad blaenllaw i greu sefydliadau fel Eisteddfod Genedlaethol Cymru, Prifysgol Cymru, y Llyfrgell Genedlaethol a’r Amgueddfa Genedlaethol. Heddiw, mae’r Gymdeithas yn parhau i wneud cyfraniad pwysig i drafodaethau gwleidyddol a diwylliannol yng Nghymru. Rydym hefyd am weld cydnabyddiaeth deilwng i’r iaith Gymraeg yn y Gymru gyfoes a thrwy ddyfarnu Medal, rhown gydnabyddiaeth ffurfiol i’r rhai a roddodd wasanaeth nodedig i Gymru yn eu meysydd arbennig.
