Cyflwyniad i Yrfa Wleidyddol James Griffiths (1890–1975)
Yn hanes y Blaid Lafur Gymreig a’r Blaid Lafur Prydeinig a gwleidyddiaeth Cymru a Phrydain, y mae lle pwysig i James Grif ths. Yn Awst 2000, ar drothwy’r Eisteddfod Genedlaethol yn Llanelli, tref y bu ef yn ei gynrychiolu, dangosodd cwmni teledu HTV ar gyfer cynulleidfa S4C, f lm gyda’r teitl, ‘Jim y Gwleidydd Coll’.1 Cafwyd sylwadau ar y deunydd gan Emyr Price yn Golwg o dan y teitl, ‘Y Gwleidydd ga’dd ei wrthod’.2 Credaf fod Emyr Price yn agos iddi pan ddywed fod ‘Cymru wedi dewis angho o gwleidydd pwysica’r ganrif ddiwethaf’. Gallwn ychwanegu eiriau Gwenallt, ‘Er yr holl ganmol a fu arnat ti, werin Cymru, yr wyt tithau yn gallu bod mor oriog â’r gwynt, ac mor greulon â Nero wrth dy gymwynaswyr’.3
