The Honourable Society of Cymmrodorion relies on the active engagement of members and other supporters, and it also welcomes all gifts in wills to support the achievement of its charitable purposes into the future.
The Society as for many years through its activities promoted the language, literature, arts and science of Wales.
We recommend that you consult a solicitor to ensure your will is legally valid, reflects your intentions and is up to date. If you wish to leave a gift to the Society we suggest that the following wording is used in your will to ensure that we receive your donation:
“I bequeath to the Honourable Society of Cymmrodorion, 157-163 Grays Inn Rd, London WC1X 8UE, registered charity number 313141, [the sum of / % of my residuary estate] to be used by the Society at its discretion. I further direct that the receipt of the Treasurer or other authorised officer shall be a full and sufficient discharge to my executors.”
We encourage you to make gifts which can be used for the general purposes of the Society rather than for a restricted purpose.
If you are considering making a gift to the Society in your will, and would like to discuss this further, please contact the Secretary on secretary@cymmrodorion.org.
