A historian\, policy adviser\, academic and author\, he is currently Chair of the Commission for Welsh-speaking Communities\, appointed by the Welsh Government to make recommendations for the long-term strategy for the language in both Wales and its diaspora. \nIn this talk\, Simon will look beyond the headlines of the second homes debate—offering a nuanced\, reflective take on what has been achieved\, what implementation looks like on the ground\, and what challenges remain. What does the future hold for Welsh-speaking communities\, both at home and abroad?
