Montgomeryshire Society: Ffion Hague and Siân Lloyd at the London Welsh Centre, 21 November 2016
The Montgomeryshire Society is holding a ‘Head to Head’ with Ffion Hague and Siân Lloyd at 7.30pm on Monday 21 November. The event will take place in the bar (1st floor) at the London Welsh Centre, Gray’s Inn Road.
Ffion Hague spent six years in the Civil Service Fast Stream. Since leaving the public sector in 1997 she has worked as a director of Arts & Business, a national business charity, and has sat on many major non-profit boards including The British Council, Action on Addiction, Outward Bound, The Voices Foundation and the London Symphony Orchestra Advisory Board. In 2008 Ffion published her first major book, “The Pain and the Privilege”, a biography of the women in David Lloyd George’s life which has given rise to many broadcasting projects, including the BAFTA Wales-winning documentary “The Two Wives of Lloyd George” (2009) and a six-part series, ‘Mamwlad’ for S4C.
Siân Lloyd is a television presenter and meteorologist. She is the United Kingdom’s longest-serving female weather forecaster, having appeared on ITV Weather for 24 years, from 1990 until 2014.
The event will be held in English. All are welcome.
