Gwenda Sippings
GWENDA SIPPINGS is Head of Information at Linklaters LLP law firm, where her role is to lead, develop and manage a world-class global information and research service. She has worked at senior management levels in the public and private sectors, including as an Interim Manager leading a major information and records management project in Local Government, and as Director of Knowledge Resources in Central Government at HM Revenue and Customs, where she implemented changes following the merger of Inland Revenue and HM Customs and Excise. She has also worked at Clifford Chance law firm as their Head of Information for the London office.
Her experience includes strategy and policy making, management and development of knowledge and information services, and leadership of change management. She is actively involved in a number of professional advisory committees and is a trustee of the University of Wales as well as the Honourable Society of Cymmrodorion. Gwenda has a Master of Librarianship from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth where she is now an Honorary Departmental Fellow, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (FCLIP) and the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (FRSA).
